Linking to Library Resources in Course Studio
- Enter Course Studio and click on the appropriate class.
- Click on the "Links" link under Course Tools.
- Click on the "Post a Link" link at the right bottom of the Course Links list.
- Select "Active" from the Status drop-down menu.
- Type the resource title in the "Title" area; for example, the title of the streaming video to which you are linking.
- Copy and paste the stable/persistent URL from the library resource (circled in the screen captures below).
- If you wish, enter a description of the resource in the "Description" area; for example, a brief summary of the video.
- Click on the "Post" button, then click on the "OK" button when you get the message that your link has been posted successfully.
- In order for a persistent link to a WSU Libraries resource to work from off-campus, be sure that the URL contains the WSU EZProxy address. Start your URLs with the following:
http://ezproxy.libraries.wright.edu:2048/login?url=
- A sample link to a video from the OhioLINK Digital Video Collection would look like this:
http://ezproxy.libraries.wright.edu:2048/login?url=http://rave.ohiolink.edu/dmc/video/2773045
- If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Sue Polanka, Head of Reference & Instruction, Dunbar Library 775-3142, sue.polanka@wright.edu
